Can steel trailing arms be bent back into shape?

It’s been pointed out to me that my right rear wheel on my 72 911 sticks out a little more at the top compared with the left side. Chap says it’s common to have the trailing bend a little out of shape, throwing out the (I think) the Camber. I have the steel fabricated trailing arms.

My question is, will a decent Porsche specialist garage be able to check on a gauge, then apply a bit of heat, and bend it back to true? Is the a risk the part is weakened by this or is it a common job?

I’d then obviously have to have the car 4 wheel aligned. The bushes and all parts are new (with only 6k miles). It’s possible a curb or pot hole caused the bend. Many thanks for any advice.

No personal experience, but I gather some specialists have made their own jigs to check straightness. Pretty sure Tuthills will see is regularly with the rally cars ?

Since you're in Coventry - Fenn Lane Motorsport has a jig. Don't know what happens next though, if one is bent (mine were OK).
