is the adhesive pad on the windscreen mirror base anything special.? I assume this self adhesive pad is Black when looking at the screen outside.? Reason i ask is i don't want to end up with a naff silver or clear look. Please steer me away from the Porsche one if that's the case. Ebay...?

Mine was from Halfords, Loctite I think? comes out black.
