51 years ago today, at Linas-Montlhéry.

It’s an Isetta Velma.

On July 30th 1957 it broke seven world records in class k, the category for sub 250cc, including running for 24 hours at an average of 109,662 km/h

my cousin has 3 elites but he is crazy. They are his dad's car (bought by his dad second hand in 1962, last elite built), a racer and one he is rebuilding for road use......

I'm afraid I don't know - Lotus weren't particularly great at keeping detailed records &, due to the nature of the car (& the fact that it was available in 'kit' form), I'm sure that customers could probably specify their owned preferred paint colour if they so wished.

In addition, there are likely to be very few Elites that haven't been resprayed at least once (many several times & several different colours).

Luckily (so far at least) they have been immune to the 'matching numbers' phenomenon - indeed 'period' upgrades to SE (& higher) are typically regarded as a 'plus' ... :)

This was easily the best restored Mk2 Europa I've seen in a long time.
Door fit was enviable, nice on Cosmics.

Fantastic day out in the Bo%*ster to Port Merion in north Wales, good early start, no traffic, sausage bap at Rug Farm, cool and clear as a bell. never seen Wales like this for decades.
The Port has been 100% re-painted and looked just fabulous. The Prisoner series came to life, just needed a real Lotus 7.

Had a great time with my re-juvinated Nikon with 18/300 zoom, now sorted by my Nikon Geek friend, and what a transformation.

The Bo£ ster was simply great, kept pace with a hot sounding (ie 2 x 6" exhaust tips) Kermit Green RS Ford and a Renault Megan Sport.

Even the wife thought the old 911 would have been good too. We did this trip in the old-one in 1990 when I worried less and a week after Bob Watson had set it up!
Welsh roads are so much better than anywhere I live, not one pot hole was struck.
I won't mention mpg.

Imagescreen shot

My absolute school boy dream car...one day I'll hire one and see if it shapes up.
