Hello,
Thought about what type of bushes to go for and want to go standard EOM Rubber.
Do i go direct to Porsche or is there a supplier / Manufacturer that can supply the OEM type rubber kit for the underneath of car.
Any suggestions, any idea of price for a complete kit?
Thank you,
Lee

Re: Supplier for OEM Bushes for 69t
The front control arms and spring plate bushes in the Type 911 Web Shop at £40.00 a set are made by URO.
The Front control arm bush is very different in nature to the bush that Porsche supply - (914.341.422.00).
The Porsche bush is shorter than the URO bush and has a smaller diameter bore. This geometry difference makes the Porsche Bush much more difficult to fit as it stretches by around 20mm during installation.
This means that the Porsche Bush is subjected to a high degree of radial compression which due the visco-elastic nature of NBR significantly increases it's stiffness and hence gives better control arm location than the URO bush.
Elephant Racing also make this point is their literature but their bushes also use less compression than the Porsche Bushes.
The only downside of the Porsche bush is that it is a real PITA to install. We have a hydraulic jig we use for this work.
Spring Plate bushes are also available from Porsche - 901.333.195.00.
