New to the forum so thought I'd say Hello
I'm seriously considering a 356 rep not for any other reason than I like the shape I need a hobby (I've built a ginetta in the past and a couple of fast road b series engines, couple of ztec/ duratecs and a 289 v8). Until a recent burglary I had a new S5 cab
but now going to buy a shed for work/ taking my twin boys to nursery and have a toy in the garage.I'm completely new to the porsche/ VW scene but I've done a bit of research - more to do!
Spec I'm thinking is speedster clinic kit but I want front and rear wishbone suspension and discs all round. From what I can tell A type 4 engine is a good bet and I'd add EFI to that. Overall them will be subtle outlaw I think.
Things that concern me are choosing the right parts suppliers - getting the right engine/ engine builder and then getting the thing through the IVA in as close to the spec that I want it finished in - (not using enough donor parts and fuel filler through the bonnet are main concerns so far.
Once all the insurance is sorted the work will start in ernest
