Newbie - North Leeds - 1971 911T LHD

Post by Rousey »

Hi All,
Written this twice now and lost it:)

Anyway less words this time but with photos.

I'm a passionate Porsche enthusiast I was lucky enough to acquire this one some 17 years ago

Anyway I decided after serving me well for so long it deserved a "little" tlc to those little paint issues and while I was at it I always liked them in Silver so a change of colour too. It's original colour was Viper green so originality no longer at stake. So 8 months ago I started and now I have

And

I'm not sure I want to start another resto thread but maybe I'll post a few updates now and again.

Clive
While I'm at it I'm also having a sort out of some of the bits I've collected over the years to help fund the bits I need for my resto. I'll be posting these in the classified adds section, at the moment I have a pair of Fuchs 15 by 7's listed. I also have a brand new RH Dansk wing that I bought before I realised I could repair the original and a front RS style GRP bumper, both currently on EBay.

You need to change your links. At the end it will say dl=0, you need to change it to dl=1.

BTW welcome to DDK

Welcome to Ddk. I admire your dedication to the car.

Somewhere down the line you will regret (having done all the hard work) not painting it viper green.
Take a look in any showroom today. All you see is silver, grey, black, white, common as muck.....
These are not colours at all in fact. They are all shades of the one one hue.

Regards
Mike

Welcome!

We all love a resto thread so post as much as you can, lots of gory rust pictures are good. Plus the fix of course...:)

I’m a fellow long term owner of a boring silver 911, but one that’s about to go back to the correct Viper!
