1931 Frazer Nash 'Falcon'. The model name doesn't help really, it left the factory with 'fabric 4 seater coachwork by Wylder' which was discarded immediately after the war. It now wears a body made in the 'Boulogne' style. 1500cc OHV Meadows engine at appx 100bhp (with enough commitment these can be pushed to 140 BHP now). Sort of the Caterham of its day!......

I can’t decide between something like that (not the Bugatti  but that sort of era “special” ), a 20’s/30’s hot rod or an early 60s yank muscle car as my next toy..

.

Surely a huge part of the appeal of an E-Type is the glorious Jaguar dohc 6-cylinder engine ... ?

Quite. The concept makes me cringe - I think people have started to lose the whole understanding of why we love old classics. Might as well be driving a golf cart. IMHO, of course.

I think its quite groovy in a Kingsman stylie mash up of old skool and modern tech. And there is room for this and keeping ICE, even thpugh it will increasingly become a steam-esque curiosity.

The petrol engine is retrofittable in the Jag I see, in case an old curmudgeon wants it :-)

it kind of feels like they’re constantly raping their e-type heritage to sell high margin cars at the moment, like that modern run of lightweights
