I know the Targa is looked down upon in some circles and there are lots of opinions on the internet about the roof mechanism and how inferior the Targa handles compared to a coupe. Most of this criticism is by those who have never driven or owned a Targa. Total world wide production was very limited. Given the above back ground I am trying to get a handle on a fair price to sell mine. I have owned the car for 10 years and during that time has been looked after by Autofarm. The paintwork is excellent apart from a few very small stone chips and has just been machine polished. During my ownership the following has been done, air con pipes replaced, new headlights and side light lenses replaced, paintwork corrected, new brake disks and calipers, new dampers all round, suspension gone through and all bushes replaced, partial interior retrim by Southbound ( black vinyl trim replaced with black leather. Recent new tires all round.Plus much more to get the car up to a fine condition. The vehicle is a manual in silver with marble grey seats (showing a little wear on drivers bolster), door panels and carpets. It is a standard specification car except for steering wheel (original wheel with the car) and the Targa only two piece wheels are black. Mileage in now at 90K. Tool kit, tire pump and unused space saver. No issues with the roof mechanism and no leaks. Massive history file.
It is a properly maintained well set up Targa which Autofarm has described as one of the best. I am considering moving on to a 993 Turbo. Passed through its MOT two days ago with no advisories. Kirk

Re: 993 Targa Value?
Kirk,
In your shoes I'd ask that question of Tom at 911 Virgin. I've found his pricing and market advice on 993s to be pretty realistic.
Cheers, Richard.
