Hello,
I am a new member. Looks a great site.
Beats being chased the official Porsche Club for a large
joining fee. Is this worth it?
I am trying to import a 912 from the US.
Does anyone have any experience of this?
I also live in North London so storage is going to be a challenge.
Would like to hear people’s experiences.
Thank you!

Hey - welcome. I kept a 356 and a 71 911T (one at a time) at the Classic Car Club near Old Street. It worked nicely for me as I was living in Highbury at the time. They look after the cars well, in that they are kept in separate bays in de-humidified bubbles (on a battery conditioner if you want) and are careful with them. If you call before they'll get the car out for you and warm it up. Also they are nice people and happy to talk cars and bikes all day.
Downside obviously is there's a cost attached. Also the timings are a bit funny at the weekend. Worth popping in and having a word as it could suit to start you off.
Other than that I was a bit stumped. You rent a space under an apartment block. My main concern would be it getting dinged.
