Hello everyone again
My Marelli Distributor has more than the "slight rotor movement" that workshop manual allows... And misfires although advance, spark and set up are ok.
Is it possible to replace Marelli distributor with Bosch distributor? The car is a 911 2,2 T my1970 USA import
There are specific part number for Bosch distributor?
Thanks
Max

Re: Marelli distributor replaceable Bosch distributor?
Hi Max,
I had the same problem...
The relevant part numbers are:
2.2T = 0231 159 008
2.2E = 0231 159 006
2.2S = 0231 159 007
T and E are the same and S has a different curve but all will fit.
Later distributors have a larger shaft. They can be used but have vacuum advance and will need to be turned down to fit.
A wanted ad on Pelican worked for me!

The numbers in Mark's post above are the Bosch part numbers ...
