Magnesium minilite wheels

This may be a silly question but is there anyone on here who knows about minilite wheels
We currently run Fuchs on our 356 sc and I've been after a set of wheels that are a bit more period rally car as mine is built up as an outlaw .
I've recently come accross a set of 5x 130 minilite wheels which are 6.5 j 15 inch and after removing a few years of paint I have come back to the original alloy .
I would guess they are magnesium as the metal is like no other alloy wheel I've even taken back to bare metal and are a darker colour than I would expect from an aluminium based alloy wheel .
So my basic question is - how do I identify a magnesium wheel other than weight .
The wheels also have a steel ? Insert where the lug nut would go and would require a different type of nut where they would be sleeved around the thread rather than just pushing the wheel against the disc .
I'll try and post some pictures up so you can see what I mean .

The magnesium version looks quite different to the alloy version - if you post some pictures we should be able to identify them.

From memory I don't think they made the magnesium wheels in a 6.5in width but that's a common size for the alloy version.

Hopefully I've put enough detail in the pictures to help - these are all the castings etc on the face of the wheels , all i have done is strip off the old paint so I can see what I've got .
Im amazed at the condition , especially if they are magnesium .
The picture of the wheel nut is the type I would require to fit these - but these are not correct for these wheels or the threads so if anyone can point me in the right direction for a supplier id be grateful .

In a strange way I'm hoping they are the alloy version so i can use them - all the research I've done on magnesium wheels says they are a nightmare to run as they are porous and have poor casting quality .
but as you can already guess I'm not an expert

When buying the magnesium wheels you need to be very careful as they are prone to corrosion & stress cracks (not so much with the 6 in wheels) around the lug holes - many unscrupulous sellers have them powder coated to disguise these problems.

The wheels are aluminium. They are pressure die cast. Magnesium wheels are sand cast. It’s not possible to get that fine a detail on the lettering with the sand cast process. Magnesium wheels tend to 33% lighter that ally Wheels.

I can now proceed to get them detailed properly and throw them on the old girl and not worry about them breaking when used in anger .

For what it's worth the alloy ones were marketed as ' Minilite Sport'.

I’ve offered these wheels up on the car and I just like them more than the Fuchs I have so have decided they can go - unsure of price as they are very good condition and the design is much more classic than the modern repo ones I’ve seen - but I guess £700 for the 4 would seem fair . I’ll
