944SE

Post by Tosh »

I have had a good search and cannot find the thread, but someone on here has (I think) a 944 SE
One is coming up for sale at Historics, Brooklands next month
Not cheap but pretty rare... https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/auct ... oup%C3%A9/
and only 1000 miles, so might need some commissioning.

The one I remember for sale (on here?) was Mark Waring’s at Rennsport. It might even have been the car above.

Edit: having read the description it obviously is the same car.

Regards
Mike

The sales advert is a bit ambiguous but last MOT shows 167,000 miles in 2013.

Surprised its not had an MOT since the restoration commenced

Especially that one as the seller is being a little disingenuous with his description, suggesting the SE is the same as an S. The very collectable 944 Turbo S is a one year only model from 1988, chassis numbers run from WPOZZZ95ZJN100001 – 1875. They had a very specific spec including strengthening to the chassis in parts that the later versions, such as the 89 car advertised, didn't have. They most certainly didn't have a sunroof.
cheers, Mike.
