Historically interesting watches with a monocoque case, so will need an Omega 107 top loader tool ( or equivalent ) to open it.
Definitely a future classic . Good luck

Mine is dead. Waaayyy too far gone for economical repair: strap, case and glass can be re-used I'm such a bloody idiot.
Quite like the look of that watch above though. is it waterproof?!

No, I think not.
I had 5 to choose from, Submariners etc, but this one was to me, really sleek.
It was a pressie from my wife for 40 years marriage and my belated 65th.
Always wanted a nice watch and feel I have it.
2 year garrantee full service and restoration with correct black strap.

Worn for high days, esp tomorrow when my daughter gets married!
All a touch emotional tbh as these special things should be.

I can't find the face anywhere on google hence asking about the model etc.
I won't take the back off for fear of screwing it up!

Any info appreciated from you experts.

Are you sure your Omega is from 1966 ? The dauphine style hands and slim needle seconds hand looks more late 50's or very early 60's to me.
Are there any inscriptions on the case back ?

Ref the White Faced watch:
No marking at all, just what you see and the Omega symbol on the winder.
The watch specialist I bought it from simply described it as a 1966 Stainless body Omega, 34mm without the crown.
The face is not white as such, 'creamy-white' may be closer.
He sends his faces to a man in London and does the rest in his small workshop in the Cotswolds. (John Cronin)

34mm. without crown makes it a bit unlikely your watch dates to 1966. As previously stated I think it's a 1950's watch unless you have papers to show otherwise.

I think it's an Omega REF 2506 maybe late 50's.

Like all watchmakers Omega constantly made minor changes and options to their dials changing Arabic to Roman , baton or Olympic torch hour markers,
then changing hour and minute hand designs to cover all possible tastes.

This example was dated as circa 1950 ( but the vendor was still only guessing ? )



If you have the serial number why not email Omega with an image of the watch and ask them ?

Thank you for this response, just what I was looking for.
The serial number will be under the back cover which I'm reluctant to prise off for fear of damage, but worth it just to have the details.
The man who rebuilt it is a real old Skool guy with a deep background in these things so I assumed the 1966 was correct.
He has an identical watch on his site with a 1965 date.
He is not local to me so can't pop in to have the back off, but any good watch jewler should be able to do this.
If it is older, I will be delighted ESP if it is 1952, year I was born!

Waterproof. No, not now. When new waterproof to 30 mts.

Strap. A choice from a one size fits all Speidel bracelet ( as pictured ), leather or
rallye style leather band.

Please note that the dial has blue tint in some pictures. It's jet black. The bezel is navy blue.

arguably and historically one of the worlds most important chronograph makers might want
to take a closer look.
I think the spec is amazing and Gallet claim superior timekeeping to current COSC standards.
The introductory price looks pretty attractive but although they are the worlds oldest clock / watchmaker
Gallet has always been a quiet 'under the radar' outfit that is only concerned with making superb watches.
From my own experience hardly anyone has heard of them.
