Seam Sealer Recommendations

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a Seam sealer? Will 3M brushable do the job as good as any?

3m Seam sealer is exactly what it says, a brushable sealer in a tin. Good if you want a brushed finish around joints and joins that can be painted. If you are just looking for a means of sealing a seam and want something you can wipe out leaving a neat finish and is paintable, I would go for a normal PUR seam sealer in a cartridge. 3M do one but most good makes are fairly comparable.

I used PUR stuff on my car - hybrid stuff I think (just chucked the remains out as it had gone off so can't check the tin)
just make sure if you're using it in areas that are to be painted its not got any silicone in it as I think that's not "body shop safe"! I think the stuff I used was PU based..

3M do one in a tube I think it's called drip check sealer neat and can be painted over.

I used this in my lotus 7. Seems good stuff and you can paint over it if you need to.
