Was sent this link by an old school friend who's desperate for a classic 911 and was asked for my thoughts. My thoughts were 'run away, and run away fast' because it's an absolute mish mash of stuff, the pics are terrible, the wheels and tyres are wrong, the bonnet fit is terrible and there's loads of fresh underseal everywhere. Yeah, there are new brake lines and a Dansk back box, but it looks so half-arsed. Do folk really expect £45-55k for this sort of thing?
Dunno, doesn't look too bad to me. Seems to have had some work with much of the suspensions parts looking fresh/refurbed. Looks more than just an underseal blow over to me, maybe even had new floors. The finish on the underside looks to sharp to be wafted over.
Defo worth a look in my opinion. Price wise doesn't seem too bad.
The issues you point out could be just minor details with a decent car underneath.
I inspected this car at the weekend. The stamped chassis plate on the floor above the tank has a stamped metal plate bonded on top of the original ? No one could give me a suitable explanation as to why. Something not right with the whole car, it's a left to right conversion. Owner wants £50K
It had a plate over the hole for the servo as it now has a RHD SC bulk head. they plated the hole when they could have cut the original out and grafted in to space to at least try and look original but instead glued a new original plate with original stamp on!!!!!
