Nobody ever looks in my engine compartment. I open the lid sometimes when I think there's a chance somebody might be interested... but they never are.
Also I found even newly restored distributors can be questionable and can be the cause of timing light marks jumping around on the crank pulley.
So over the years I've become a little less interested in originality and a bit more interested in how the car drives... how it starts, how it idles and how it takes off. I've only had this 123 dizzy fitted for a few months but it has improved all of the above. And it's very happy on 6 volts.
It is quite shiny, but if you don't look at it you can't really tell.
Cheers,
Mike.
