'74 Euro Spec Carrera
A friend has offered me his '74 Euro Spec Carrera at what seems like a very good price.
However, its suffered the usual 80's 'update' to a turbo look body.
I know it will need c.£50k to get it to correct spec, will totally skint me out, but will be well worth it in the end.
I'm going to look and will post up pics soon - and sure to have plenty of questions for those in the know!

Re: '74 Euro Spec Carrera
Nice! Good luck. You could always use as is for a bit before taking it off the road for the full rebuild.

I can't off the top of my head think of a '74 LHD Coupe, converted to turbo with original MFI in the UK.

Re: '74 Euro Spec Carrera
I don't think it's a car anybody will know of, my friend purchased it, I guess, around five or six years ago and it's been in storage ever since.

Re: '74 Euro Spec Carrera
So,
Finally got to see the car today. Yes, has had a fairly ghastly 80's RSR lash-up, that will all need removing.
Has matching numbers (but I haven't checked yet), doesn't look like any major accident damage in the past, allegedly still runs ok, but leaking like the Ammoco Cadiz, and I didn't get to start it up.
I've got to work out a £ value, then £ cost of resto (thinking c.£50k).
Feel free to critique, please pm
