Following on from my earlier query re- Koni shocks, is oil mist forming on the outside of the strut an indication that the shock inserts are u/s?
I have been told that this not unusual and doesn't necessarily mean the shock is u/s, I have tried the usual "bounce test" but am not 100% convinced one way or the other and doesn't seem too bad on the road but do get some kick back through the steering wheel.
I don't want to go to the expense buying new inserts if it's not needed.

Re: Front shock absoerbers
Hi Maurice, the oil mist might be coming from the insert, it may also be that the strut has been oil filled between the casing and insert, for better heat transfer.
If you can't notice anything wrong in normal driving, then there probably isn't anything wrong!
