S caliper brake pad fitting kit.? Steering column bolt ?

Post by stretch »

My original front S caliper steel pins and spring retainers are passed there sell by date. Does anyone have a link to a complete
kit that i can buy. I would prefer a complete kit rather than purchasing individual pins at a tenner a pop. :(

Whilst i am here, i also need to replace the anti tamper bolts that mount the steering column to the dash. A link to a suitable torque head bolt of a similar length would also save me many a frustrated hour on the net.

Thank you in advance. :)

In the past (if I wasn't in a hurry) I've got them from Sierra Madre.

In the UK they're available from Type 911, Roger Bray, etc but I think they get them from SMC anyway !

You could try Classicar Automotive (the brake caliper restorers) as they certainly used to offer pad fitting kits with their refurbished calipers.

Thanks Andy. Managed to find a pin kit in stainless steel which seem good value.

Just need to find the spring retainers.
