Hi All,
I need to change the brake fluid on my 993 turbo. The stuff in it is blue but all the posts I have read say any DOT4 is ok. Anyone know why the fluid I have is blue - is it something special?
Cheers
Roger

Re: brake fluid for 993 turbo
You can't get ate super blue anymore, apparently "people" (i use the term loosely) thought it was bubble gum flavour drink or something so they had to change it.. It's now called something like type200 and is about 20% more expensive. Still good stuff though!
Re: Flushing it out, being blue its really easy to do, however it may have stained a few components like plastic reservoir, etc..
Loosing the blue is a real shame as being able to alternate "super blue" and "super gold" took a lot of the guess work out of flushing, especially when filling dry systems or if you were changing routinely rather than for set service intervals (ie every 12mo on a track day car)
