Thought it about time to say hello

Newbie to Porsche but for some years now I had the urge for a classic 911.

In 2015 I bought a much modified & light-weight (rusty) 1968 9IIL RHD Sporto in need of some TLC

Body restoration has recently started and pleased to see the chassis on the Celette with everything lining up OK.

Engine & gearbox have been re-built and one of the forum contributers (Alan @ Canfords) has re-built the Webbers

Doing lots of research on the car, especially as a 68 appears to be quite variable in build content.

No doubt I'll be popping up again looking for advice & information (and perhaps in time be able to contribute to the forums as work continues)

Regards
Keith.

I do Keith, I know David Dean well and the car when he had it.

We were only talking about you & the car today at Ascot and how it was progressing. Isn't it at George's?

A few pictures on here would be great :bounce:

David purchased the car from John Miller (DustyM) of Carrera Classics on here some time back.

Small world in early Porsche

Best
