Looks like Porsche choose the easy way...even the CoA is a bit misleading!

Rather odd the COE. Your car is a 1957 but listed with a 716 gearbox. The 716 was not introduced for the 356A T2 model until Dec 1958.

5706 on the Kardex is in my experience confirmation that the car was originally silver metallic. It would then usually be followed by an A (red interior) or B (green interior). My interpretation of your Kardex would be it was delivered with a special black interior.

If you disagree with anything in the CoA, and have evidence to back it up, you can challenge Porsche Cars GB and they will review and liaise with the factory. Mine had a number of errors willingly checked and then corrected by Porsche Cars GB
