Ask the engine builder is the right answer.
I also checked valve clearances and head studs at the first oil change. Two studs needed a nip up and one valve needed adjusting

Re: Oh yes another 1973 rhd 2.4E
So Friday was the day to put a heart beat back into the car... however perished o-rings in the fuel pump thought otherwise! A quick shout out to ddk and JohnM swiftly sent a link on o-ring sizes and diy guide to replacing sorted that little problem out
Next problem 3 faulty injectors So full set ordered from euro car parts at £72 Ea (with redline discount) and should be a goer tomorrow all being well. It started ok with good oil pressure on tickover but lost a couple of cylinders when revs increased. Injectors removed and tested showed three faulty ones. Apparently sat without fuel for 3 yrs hasn't helped and not wanting to spend most of Spa trip on hard shoulder we decided to renew all.
Car up on ramp so took a couple of sneaky pics....
It was so nice going to Essen and found myself comparing my car to all those there. It made me realise firstly how there is certainly a difference in restoring for yourself and not for profit, there's a huge difference in the capabilities of a 'craftsman' and finally how I am so pleased with the end result!!! You hear stories of expensive restos which end up bad but mine I'm just so pleased with this has not been a cheap experience by any stretch of the imagination but a great result! My car is almost factory fresh, right down to the silver screws on the black grilles
Hats off to everyone involved, Barry, Steve (DC), Garry (visual fx), Gary (GDC), (watch this space) Tony at Redline Racing and last but not least James Charnley who got me started with this. Each one have contributed in making my perfect car along with everyone on ddk who have guided me through all of this, thanks guys for all your advice and comments (just hope it goes well )

MOT'd and back home today, took Shelly for a quick spin in our new 'date car'
6 miles run in so far....
Parked beside the GT3 "Beauty and the Beast" as James called it
Both nestled up in garage...fingers crossed for a dry bank holiday!!!
