Ok so I went through the rebuild procedure and carried tests out on the bench as per Mike's instruction and so far so good no leaks.

I did use Loctite 230 sparingly on the aux venture's, and jet cover screw.
I ended up setting the float levels to the bottom end of the scale i.e. slightly higher than 19mm from top of carb body. When I first set the float switch at around 18.5mm thinking more fuel is good, I had fuel dripping out of the emulsion tube down into the main venture.
I did preset the platen and floats but i'm guessing I may have this slightly out, if I get migration at the 18.5mm.... I will see if I get any problems in the future.
I do think my original leak was from the jet cover seal, there was fuel on the tinware, making me think it was the throttle bodies
One thing I didn't find out was the orientation of the emulsion tubs in the aux venturi's, does it matter where the holes sit in relation to the body??
Big thank you for all the advice!
