How to route the throttle rod through the tunnel - 67 car

Post by Splitty64 »

So i admit defeat, or for now at least. I can't see how to route the throttle rod through the tunnel. When I stripped the car, it was just laying in there, but working. Looking in the tunnel as best I can with mirrors, I can't see a definitive rout. Best near option I can see is that the fuel line is currently running / secured to 3 clips / hoops that hand down from the top of the tunnel in what appears to be correct for the fuelling, but then if thats where the throttle rod goes, how does the fuel line route?

Help with definitive routing would be so welcome

Thanks
Martyn

I assume it's the same as a 71 car, the rod passes through 3 plastic cotton reel like guides that are then located into flat metal strips (a bit like the ones that hold the wiring loom in place around the car). These bend around the plastic guide and hold it in place through the tunnel.

This was before I repaired the inner!

Hope this helps

That's great, thanks Richard. Much as I suspected. Time for a little more work on my behalf.
