Horn grilles were chrome up to & including '72 - changed to black for '73 models (as did rims of front & rear lenses).

Wiper arms are black.

The script should be chrome too, but the engine grille changed to black for the 72 year (although mine's chrome! ) In fact, the engine grille's the only bit of black metal trim.

Mine has black anodised lettering on the engine lid which changed from gold for 72 model year.

According to Peter Morgans book this is correct.

Thanks very much, so my rear porsche script being in a matt silver sounds wrong then? weird finish, is the 911's script meant to be black?

thanks

The colour is a dark grey anodised colour I would'nt call it silver nor is it really black. It is a different colour to the engine grill which is black.

The 911 script should be the same colour as the porsche script.

Post a picture if you want to be sure.
