What are those sticky-out things Barry? Is there an inner flange that this piece joins onto?
Thank you very much (and Barry)! Will use these instead of 964 ones then.inaglasshouse wrote: I believe little or no remedial work was required to these, to reach a standard Barry was happy with. So I think they are good. Unlike several of the other Porsche panels...
Cheers, Richard.
I'm sure he could turn the grinder on you if need be, while Jamie blows cold air over the affected area.210bhp wrote:If ever I need surgery I want Barry to operate....

MANY thanks Richard! (useless OPC here, I'm missing OPC West London a lot...inaglasshouse wrote:Hi Ville,
Just checked my quote from OPC Glasgow. Here's the relevant section:
No warranty on this information, sorry: buy from your OPC at your own risk!
Sorry for my earlier error with the new part numbers.
Cheers, Richard.
Do you know, this crops up all the time, and sometimes I do get tempted. I love teaching, and would really enjoy passing the skills (such as they are) on. The problem is, almost none is low / no skilled work, and when that does crop up it's a welcome relief. Frankly, you could have someone there for many months before they could do very much, and at least a year before they really started working. It's such a commitment for a little one man band like mine. Now, if I should boost up the vintage (Vintage?) side, that could possibly change, as actually I would be able to use a newcomer a bit more. For now though, we'll keep it simple!911hillclimber wrote:Time for an apprentice then Barry?
Thank you for the explanation, always interesting to read.
When I did my body it was the grinding that got to me, the din, the contortions needed and the danger if it dug in hard.
Linishing was much the same.
I was in a single car garage and being so cramped just made me keep a tidy area!
Just love these threads!
Thanks to all for doing this, I know it takes up a lot of time.
