polishing and painting fuch6s

Post by Beetlejac »

Hi this is how l polished and painted my Fuchs
Image
after going up the grades in wet and dry l polished with cloth buffs and wax.
Image
l masked the wheels off from the back
Image
Image
Image
l then welded up a frame to sit the wheel on flat and square
Image
Image
l then filled the wheel with paint up to the edge of the rim
Image
Image
Image
l let it sit for about an hour, punched a hole in the masking tape and let th6e paint drain off to re use on the next wheel.

Americans like shiny wheels, advertise them over there.

This side of the Atlantic everyone will budget to strip them, anodise them and fully paint the centres satin.

Either way 8s are worth plenty so go and fish them out of the bin.

It's quite a good idea not to paint where the wheel bolt seats.
When the paint cracks and falls out, it leaves the wheel bolt loose.
