356B T6 Dashboard padded top
Hi,
Anyone have a 356B T6 dashboard top metal frame ?
I have the padding and vinyl but the metal is badly rusted. Doesn't seem to be the sort of thing that Stoddards or Pelican have or anyone in the Uk has.
Let me know if you have something otherwise fabricating may be awkward, wondered if there was a beetle equivalent that could be re-arranged !
Thanks
Derek

I bought one from Design911 for about £350. It was Dansk and an extremely poor fit as well as missing the cut out for the console light. My original was fairly rusty but probably could have been remade for far less. As it was I paid quite a bit to have the Dansk one altered to fit.

PRS and Karman sell a different make to design911 and theirs is £500, but probably fits.Mike Smith wrote:Try Paul at http://www.prs356.com - He may have one

I have tried Roger Bray, Stoddard and Pelican with out success so far. I'll try PRS and Karman Konnection on Monday. Probably worth the extra if it fits well !
Thank,
Derek

Paul, Hi,
Many thanks for that.
Eventually got one from Stoddard at $335, but tax and transport on top.
Seems a really good fit. Putting the old vinyl on with new padding underneath, should be finished shortly.
Thanks,
Derek
