Does it really matter what price people put on their vehicles. Makes me laugh when people on here have a bit of a swipe at people asking more than they think a car is worth. I hope it sells for the price he's asking.

Re: With all due respect
Thanks for all the comments and discussions. I'm a true Porsche fan and have been on this site for quite a few years. I actually sold my 1985 3.2 off the PCGB stand at the NEC.
I'm emigrating to Canada early next year. Got my job offer through last week. Property prices are crazy in Toronto, so selling the house and all the cars. I bought the 912 before I knew about moving to Toronto. I didn't buy it to flip. I bought it because I thought I could get 90% of the thrill of a 911 2.2S, with 90% of the looks, at 10% of the cost. And this is precisely what this car delivers, in my view.
Others will, I'm sure, disagree. But that's fine. All I know is that my £30k cost has been a great spend. I love the car. It's in super condition and goes like the clappers. I just want to go out and drive it.
I've seen what £30k - £45k budget gets you in terms of a 912 (advertised price). My little outlaw at £50k I think is fair - for what you get. I'll try advertising and see if it sells. If not, I'll very happily ship it back across the pond and enjoy it over there.
I'm glad folks on here can see and have commented I've been genuine and honest through out. That's who I am. The car is a very nice - and may well suit someone on this forum. If so, great. I'd like the car to go to an enthusiast.

Re: With all due respect
Very true regarding your price. I have looked at a local blue 912 targa that was priced at 45k that had a floor tack welded in and the door stuck out 20mm at the bottom. Not a good car so i think what you are asking to what is advertised is about right. It looks lots of fun. If i had a spare 50k i'd have it.
You should take it back with you and enjoy it.
BTW your 240z looks nice

Re: With all due respect
Thanks for that. The Datsun, NSX and MX5 I'd say are all 'collector' quality. They all need to go.
Datsun is a 1971, RHD, non rusty, matching numbers car. £33k. The NSX a 2004, manual, 16k Miles, FHMDSH, UK supplied, concours (Salon Prive) winning car - £95k. The MX5 a 1990, first U.K batch, red, black interior, 16k Miles, FSH, UK supplied, 2nd in MX5 club concours - £12,500.
The 912 is what someone is willing to pay. Ideally over £50k. I hope from the description of my other cars you can gauge the standard I have for my cars. The 912 has a clean body, fresh paint, non rusty, £10k engine, rebuilt gearbox, new interior, new front and rear suspension, refurbed Fuchs, new tyres, refurbed brakes, short shift and pedal box, restored gauges, £20k receipts... and goes like the clappers!

Re: With all due respect
Good luck. Toronto is a great city. Oakville is a nice place to live by the Lake and a quick train ride into town. However it's been almost 30 years since I lived there and now nothing about house prices. PS it quite a lot colder in the weather than here but it's a dry cold.

Re: With all due respect
Many thanks. Start May 1, so winter should be over by the time we get there.
I've entered the 912 and the MX-5 at the Coys auction, 14 January at the Autosport show, NEC. Hope they attract interest and they go to good new homes...

Re: With all due respect
Coys on line brochure now available.
See the car in the flesh. I'm hoping it attracts a few bidders and it sells to someone who will love the car as much I do.

Re: With all due respect
Both cars sold. Didn't quite get to reserve in the auction, but Coys did a great job of securing the sales post auction to the high bidders. Very happy with what will be returned to me. The 912 buyer has got him/her a cracking car. Will be very much missed.
