Have removed the fan including housing from the engine, whilst I had it painted a few years ago, the silver is no longer the colour for me. My preference is now dark satin charcoal / gunmetal grey, is there an original Porsche specification / RAL for such a paint (or something close).

Is this for a 68 car, per your signature?

They weren't painted originally.
The dark(ish) grey you're referring to was achieved using a (dipped) chromate finishing process.

Thanks Andy
Would still appreciate a RAL for the grey.
