Yellow Zinc is created by using Chrome 6 in the passivation part of the zinc plating process, and is technically illegal now.
Ch6 is a very toxic heavy metal, and banned a decade or so ago, but China (etc) used to use it a lot until recently.

I think it's hardware he's after rather than a plating kit.

Indeed, but finding fasteners yellow passivated will be hard too.
I thought he wanted to get his re-plated.

Back in the good old Husband Crawley days I bought a stack of new yellow pass fasteners from a stall for 'special areas' on the car where you see the fasteners, but rarely use them tbh.
Yellow pass is very resistant to corrosion.
Redtek seem to get yellow pass done readily.

not a kit as such, but yellow plated zinc in all popular sizes (m6, m8, m10, etc, etc) is easy to get just search on ebay for yellow zinc, or chromate (i.e "m8 nut yellow zinc". For now anyway

I use Wurth, but easy to find and purchase on ebay, just not as good as the wurth quality....

Now if anyone can tell me where to find hose clamps in yellow zinc plated/chromate i'll be interested (besides tbolts)!!
