Why not get a short speedo cable made up that attaches a 2:1 calibration gearbox to the end of the original cable and then connects to your 120mph speedo. This would halve the reading when installed, easy change over. Especially if you had a 1:1 gearbox as well. This has the other benefit of being able to handle 240mph!
