My car is a US import so has US spec lenses and light boxes front and rear. I have obtained some original silver trim Euro spec bosch lenses so am all good on that front. What I am struggling with now is how to modify the boxes to Euro spec. Using the splendid John Audette site, it seems that the differences are:
1. Front: The Eurospec box has a fitment for a 'city' light, or side light in our terms, at the front of the unit relocating the side light from the headlight to the indicator box behind the clear part of the lens.
2. Rear: The Eurospec box deletes the bulb and mount under the reflector and also the internal partition between the reflector and the central light. Also, 2/3 of the internals of the box are painted white, not silvered.
So my questions are:
1. Front lights: Where can I get a pair of the side light bulb mounts for inside the front light box.
2. Rear lights: Removing the internal partition and the bulb mount under the reflector is easy. However, the reflector mounts onto a small 'shelf' cast into the light box wall and a spring clip on the reflector bulb mount. Given that the reflector bulb mount is now deleted, how does the reflector fit with only the small cast shelf on the light box itself. I could glue it in but that doesnt seem right.
Any insight/photos appreciated and if you have spare front side light bulb fittings, I am all ears.

Re: Converting US spec lights to Euro spec
What headlamps are you using ?
When I converted cars I'd imported from the US in the past, I fitted new Bosch H4 h/lamps as part of the conversion so simply ran a wire up to the 'pilot' lamp within the H4 headlamp (which acts as the sidelight).

Re: Converting US spec lights to Euro spec
I am using H4's which as you say, can have the pilot lamp (what I called the side light and what John Audette calls the City light) facility and as an ex US car, that is exactly how mine is also wired up.
But for originally European cars, this pilot/side/city lamp is relocated outside of the H4 into the indicator unit to sit behind the clear part of the indicator lens. So when you turn on your side lights, this lights up, not the H4 unit.
Am trying to refit mine so it is authentically to European specification. So what I am after are the pilot/side/city lamp bulb holders that fit inside the front indicator unit.
It's best illustrated looking at John A's very useful LWB information page http://www.audettecollection.com/a-guid ... n-signals/
Photos 12 and 13 show what I am after and photo 5 shows the rear light housing without the US bulb mount under the reflector which raises the question how you fit the reflector after removing the bulb mount.

Re: Converting US spec lights to Euro spec
I did do this conversion on one of my cars but can't find any pictures.
I made up the new dividing wall & reflector from thin aluminium sheet - then drilled a (10mm?) hole in the aluminium & pressed in a bulb holder & bub - a spare (BA9?) holder as used for the instrument (speedo & rev counter) lighting.
