You'll already know a sport is a specced up CS , so in theory driving experince will be the same unless the CS has the suspension ( m030 ? ) package & diff

Totally agree with the above, I had one as a daily driver for six months. Truly amazing balance, very practical (could get two race bikes in the back!), and even respectable mpg. Interior of a mk2 Golf, but, in the end I just had to get back to a 911.
I'd would consider another - but to go with a 911 not to replace.

I found it a really dull car. No pzazz at all. I suspect I'm hard to please though!
19k for a super high miles dull car wouldn't work for me.

I drove a friends 968 on a fairly long journey a few years back and would agree with others, it lacked any character, left me feeling a bit cold.

For balance, I drove a 968CS back to back with a 964RS, and much preferred the chassis balance, ride & practicality of the former as a road car.

I think that what this thread tells you is that, in the end, it's down to personal preference in terms of how you like your cars to feel & drive - plus what you want from that particular car (in terms of speed, handling, comfort, practicality, etc).

Take other people's views/opinions/experiences into consideration but don't rule something out without at least trying it for yourself first ...

This pretty much echoes my experience of a 968CS over 6mths back in the late 90s too. As an all-rounder it was great (in my case it could fit a Hobie Cat boom/sails and kit inside rather than bikes), but no match for a 911 for sheer fun and values today probably preclude using one daily.
