static timing with petronix

I am now at the stage where I can fire up the engine again but how do I set up the static timing with a petronix set up? any help advice will be most welcome

never used a pertronix, but isn't it just a trigger, so therefore you can static time it the same as if it has points?

BUT I might be wrong :)
