Temp gauge reburb / upgrade

Post by ghia70 »

Any recommendations and advice on upgrading the temp gauge from a 1968 car so you can use the later style sender units, does anyone convert the gauge or are replacements available. I've seen the correct senders however these are around the £150 mark as opposed to £30 for the 1969 onwards type.

Speak to John Ostick at JDO instruments, he's a nice bloke and very quick.

All Sorted now, went over to PRS and they matched a sender unit to my gauge and tested, great service and advice. 1968 gauge needed a sender the increased in resistance when hot as opposed to the newer ones that work in reverse.
