CDI wiring loom help

I didn't take quite enough photos of my engine before I stripped it down and am struggling to identify a wire on the CDI loom.

The CDI loom appears to have a ground wire terminated in a small ring terminal at the coil/distributor end.
The ring terminal is much smaller than the other ones that mount onto the coil bracket fixings.

Anyone know where it should terminate exactly ( I'm guessing the distributor ) - sorry don't have a photo at the moment.

The car is a '74 2.7 CIS.

As always any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply Nick.

I have already fit the larger ground under the M8 coil fixing but this one is smaller probably M5 size.
I think it is part of a pair of wires, the other being the spade connector that ( I assume ) connects to the distributor / tacho sense.

Sorry I know a picture would help - will post one up later if all else fails.

The shield wire with the smaller ring terminal goes to a stud near the distributor. It shields the points signal (black wire) that goes to the distributor and is a spade connector. This black wire is usually piggy backed / twinned with a black/purple wire that drives the tacho.

Thanks for the tip Johnny - I thought it was somewhere around the distributor.
Now all I have to do is find the stud - I take it the stud is on the engine not the distributor?

Think the stud is on the chain tensioner cover.

Jonny is right - it goes under one of the chain cover nuts.
