heater cables, 67 912

Post by Splitty64 »

Hi

I need to order new heater cable (s) for my 67 car. Its a single lever pull by the gear shift, and at the back each cable splits 2 ways. I have the splitters and shrouds.

Do I need 1 cable or two cables? 901 424 701 06 seems to be the part number and from diagrams this looks to be a single (folded) cable. Surely this would only give a single cable each side at the rear? Do I need 2? Maybe I have not seen it properly. Any advice gratefully received before I order.

Thanks
Martyn

You need two cables, one (looped) opens the bottom flapper boxes at the bottom of the heat exchangers and the other (looped through the same lever hole) opens the heater boxes.

It a cable feast getting them threaded through and operating in unison
