Hi, my name is Alan and I live in Sale, Cheshire and in November 2015 bought my first ever Porsche. I have previously owned a Karmann Beetle Convertible in triple white and after finally giving up on the wedding limousine company selling it back to me I thought I would look for something else. I wanted something reliable with little work to do and I also wanted a aircooled engine. I finally found a Porsche 914 ticked all the boxes and was affordable so I bought a car that has been imported from Oregon. It is a 914/4 1.7 in irish green. It originally came with replica fuchs but I didn't like them so I bought pedrinis and refurbed them but don't like these too! I have now settled on chromed steel wheels with hubcaps and love the look although I appreciate it is a very personal things and many wont agree. I had a little problem with the replacement carbs so it went into a local air cooled specialist who sorted it out but also assured me the car was in good nick overall!

One thing is for certain though, it is a fun drive, once you get used to the gearbox!
