NOS - New Old Spectator
Hello fellow DDKers!
I have been lurking on this site for a long time, but I just realized that I never registered. I have been quite active on Porschemania in Italy (I am Italian, but I live in Dubai and am about to move to Ghana) for over 10 years. I have also read and written on the Early 911S Registry for a long time and I always found interesting info and pictures on DDK, although I never wrote a single post. I love the British attitude over classic cars. If it were not for your passion and magazines a lot of the world heritage would have been lost.
I am a Porsche fan since I was child, just after I had a chance of sitting on one of those baby seats in the back of a viper green 2.2 or 2.4 (what did I know then?) targa. It was love at first sight. My first Porsche was in 1990, a toaster, made by Siemens in gray metallic, gift of a German friend. My first Porsche car was a 928 GT in 1999. Then followed a 944 turbo cabriolet in 2003, a 911 2.2S and a 993 cabriolet in 2005, a 997 carrera s in 2012 and just recently a Cayenne Turbo S. I never had more than three of them at the same time though…
I am now in the phase of having to sell my 911 2.2S and thought of making it known to users of this great forum as well. I am confident that if somebody is looking for a great 911S, mine can be a very good option. However, it is not polite to come here and just put a car for sale. So I also thought I might offer something more useful for the general users of this forum and therefore I am posting a link to a number of pictures I put together to collect details of original 2.2 cars. Here it is
https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipM ... hCM21OeFdB
The pictures have taken from many sources, including DDK, but I made the effort of putting together what I considered to be correct for 2.2 non-Karmann cars, mostly to have a guidance for myself and my bodywork guys or mechanics in taking care of my car. I hope it can be useful to somebody restoring their 911.
Thank you for the hospitality.
Giaz

Hello and welcome.
The link to the pictures doesn't work for me. Hoping you can fix / re-post the link, because...
(I'm doing a 2.2S restoration at the moment).
If you have pics of your car, you'll probably get away with posting them as sneaky pre-advertising. Everyone likes pics!
Cheers, Richard.

Hi giaz
Welcome to Ddk.
I have seen your very nice car for sale over on the Early S Registry. Nice colour combination and beautifully presented.
Good luck with the sale.
Regards
Mike
