Fuch restoration

I took advantage of the Blockley offer on tyres last week which has made me take a second look at my Fuch wheels.
So I have four '73 dated Fuch alloys that look to be in pretty good condition with possibly original finish.

Firstly I am wondering how I check that they are currently in factory finish?

Secondly I am wondering what options are open to me.
I understand I can get them fully refurbished but wondering if my wheels only need a partial refurb.
The petals and rims are in pretty good order but the black paint has faded / rubbed off in places.

Heres a photo of one of the wheels - all four are in similar condition.


As always any suggestions much appreciated.

If the anodising is undamaged etc, I'd just look at reprinting the back

I agree - I wouldn't do anything else to those.

Use a water bath to get a perfectly level line to paint to.

Thanks for the response guys - my feeling is that they do seem a bit too good and original to fully refurb.

Can anyone suggest a good cleaner that won't affect the anodising?

Do not use any commercial wheel cleaner, they mostly contain caustic soda, which is used to remove anodising, but even a small amount will stain it white. Safe cleaners are degreaser, standard thinners, brake cleaner and soapy water. There is no need to etch the surface or use primer before the satin black.
