Should a 67 912 have a steering damper

Post by slipslide »

Hi all
I was wondering if anyone knew if my 67 912 should have a steering damper? It didn't when I stripped it down but I have no idea if it's been messed with.
Thanks

Thanks for the link, it looks like from reading that they changed some strut settings which meant there was no need for a damper.
Handy really as they seem to be a bit of a pain to get.
Thanks

Mine has the fitting on the rack to accept the damper, but no damper installed and has never felt like one is required
