The 'Maverick' Classic Porsche Forum and Classic Porsche Club for Porsche 356, Aircooled Porsche 911, Porsche 912, Porsche 914 & Porsche Replicas. 'We join for the cars but stay for the people'
As a summary I bought this from North Carolina late last year, it finally arrived in January and work began a week later. So from January til now we have gone from this...
To this...
Via lots of this...
I'll update this thread whenever I make an update on retrorides from now on if there is interest
the car is now more complete than it has ever been in my ownership! When it arrived half of it was already dismantled and boxed up under the bonnet, still a few bits to go though. All in I'm feeling pretty damn chuffed!

Thats my 67 912 in Signal green, original colour. Balls deep into a mega rest right from bare shell, jig etc. A certain 914 robbed me of all my resto time since it landed in January. Full steam ahead now, its back in my workshop as of last night
Darren C wrote:Two VERY nice cars in fresh paint...I love seeing a car in fresh paint. It's the enjoyable part of the restoration from then on. Thanks for sharing.
Haven't looked yet but is your dad's car in the 912 section on here, would be great to follow both cars progress
Sorry, Im the lazy one here, may do a trunkated thread with a few of the best pictures. I've had it and enjoyed it for 6 years, but it got to the stage I had to steam in before it got bad, lost its rough well used look though
This picture taken from the was it you thread is as it was for years before I started the rest
Well the car was 'finished' Saturday evening and enjoyed it's firt run up to Bicester heritage centre for the sunday scramble. I was even allowed to park next to the big boys porsches
It was also had a mini photoshoot with a friends beetle before the heavens opened.
To say I'm over the moon with the car is an understatement!
