Hi folks
I am after some advice. As I think we all do, I have spent far too many hours reading magazines and forums about 914s. A common theme I have come across is that upgraded tie rods are a popular fitment. Also I have seen some reposition the steering rack to reduce / remove bump steer.
I doubt my 914 will see a race track, but I do like very balanced steering. So, what is the general concensus, standard or upgraded?
Thanks in advance

Re: Tie rods and bump steer
I put turbo tie rods on mine and it helped make the steering a lot more precise as mine were rather worn.
Not had bump steer problems on mine and I use it on the track

Re: Tie rods and bump steer
We have turbo tie rods on ours, it sharpens up the steering response. You are unlikely to have any bump steer problems unless you have the front suspension extremely low.

Thanks for the advice chaps
Dean S. Not sure which model they are off, but a search on a well known auction site will reveal a kit of parts

Re: Tie rods and bump steer
They are for the 911 and fit cars from 65-89.
The ones to get are lemforder - there have been quality issues with other brands
