A lovely car but needs a decent steering wheel!

Re: '67S 'Sports Purpose'
I didn't realise Redtek had a rolling road, always thought he took his cars elsewhere for their tune up. My cars feel fine but would be interesting to get power and torque data to ensure everything is ok.Darren65 wrote:Sorry, meant a rolling road session and engine tune with Nick at Redtek..........wondered what difference 110 octane actually makes to HP?yoda wrote:Where are you going and when? You are right Feroz. Nick doesn't have his own RR.

Re: '67S 'Sports Purpose'
This car has been knocking around for years - it passed thro' Bruce Canepa's hands in 2011 & again in 2013.
I agree with Keith - the fact that it started out as a '67S is fairly irrelevant now.
However, the fact that it is being sold by MP means that someone with more money than sense will probably buy it ...

Re: '67S 'Sports Purpose'
If it has been fully rebuilt plus a 904 mainshaft (& probably uprated intermediate plate & side cover) & isn't used for 'drag racing' getaways it should last a fair while - my old 2.8 twin-plug car had a 911 gearbox (essentially a 901 with different clutch operation) & didn't exhibit any problems.

Re: '67S 'Sports Purpose'
I had a drive out to Hatfield OPC on Sunday morning and they had a very similar looking Sports Purpose car sitting there.
There was Porsche binder on the dash saying Info. Regarding Porsche Vehicles Used for Sports Purpose 911S 914/6 Model year 1970.
Not sure if it was genuine but nonetheless a lovely car.
The chap on the floor didn't know much about it other than saying it belonged to a collector and was not for sale (but may be for the right price...).
