Dashboard top - mountings through the models

Hi,

Does anyone know if a 69-74 dash-top will fit an SC / very early carrera ? It's not clear if the screw / clip positions changed in the later vehicles. I've seen backdates with early dashes in them, but wasn't sure how easy the swap was.

Obviously, it'll mean losing the little air vent, it's just the fit and fastenings I'm worried about.

The fastenings on the top are in the same place as are the ones around the dash binnacle, but the studs along the front are slightly different so you will have a small amount of modification to the metal dash to do.
