Newbie intro
Hi all,
New member just joined up although I have been a Porsche owner since 1999. I am still the owner of this same car which most of you will have guessed from my username, is a 930.
This car was imported in 1997 from Belgium and spent the next 2 years, before I acquired it, in a motor museum in the north of England. The car is a 1989, 5 speed turbo coupe, white with a burgundy leather interior and has done 50,000 miles from new.
The car is as original with no mods at all, last year it had new brakes, shocks and exhaust but apart from that nothing else.
I am first to admit that I am a bit of a Luddite as far as Porsche engines are concerned and even more so if it is anything electrical. I am a retired construction manager living in north Buckinghamshire. Probably won't be able to give any helpful practical advice on problems but who knows?
I will post a few pictures of my car when I figure out how.

Re: Newbie intro
Dave, welcome at DDK.
I'm pretty new here myself, but since you're a fellow 930 driver I just have to reply. DDK has been a great place to source stuff, get advice and read up on some interesting builds.
My 930 is an 86 in slate grey metallic (of course with a 4 speed 915 box). Despite all the hype they're still pretty rare cars, particularly in standard and unmolested spec. I've seen one in The Netherlands in the past 10 years. I drive mine very often (took it on a skiing trip in Switzerland, Goodwood, Paris, etc...) and it's still a mighty car.
Please post some pictures, everyone over here loves pictures!

Welcome to DDK from NI!!
There is a thread on how to post pics on this forum, give it a read - in reality sign up to photobucket (or similar) once done its very easy. You'll also be able to get photobucket on your phone so easier again.
