Interesting that they are actually selling it !. Lot of work went into development of this car , and it was a definite "path to the future" for T's ... guess thay have not been killed in the rush to make lots more of them.
Hmmm ...........
Royal Enfield .. still in India
GL 1800 Tour DCT, for pleasure / Fantic 240 Professional - play
Rally 911 (1966) build parked for a while
Rally 928 (work started again - inc serious weight loss programe !)
.... and now another VW Up GTI owner.

Is it just time to move to the new model 911 to keep the car current? It's certainly a spectacular machine and as Keith says a lottery list purchase.

There's no indication they're building a new model on the Tuthill web-site.

Despite the popularity with spectators, I don't think the R-GT class really took off from the competitor side. I didn't see any R-GT cars in the 2016 Monte Carlo results.

Hopefully not just a footnote in Porsche rallying history...

I used to race a 996 GT3 Carrera Cup car and it was a serious piece of kit. This 997 rally car built on the Carrera cup chassis is simply awesome.......... I'd buy it in a flash. (if I had the money spare!)

Looks like there's life after WRC for the R-GT in the Italian Rally Championship. Good to see a Porsche on the Targa Florio in May, though they may have to fit a removable roof panel to homologate...
