Headlight bucket strap - info please.

I have been asked a question by my friend (who bought my 1969S - and has made a super job of rebuilding it) but I can't answer him so over to you more knowledgeable folk.

What is this strap for, it has a nut at one end.

It may be USA style wing, I am not sure.

All of the pictures show up now Ian - can't help with the purpose of the 'strap' - could it be an earthing point ?

That's all I could think of, maybe fixed to the horn bracket. One of life's little mysteries........

Back to rebuilding the CV joints...

Like your plating Andy, I haven't ventured to start mine yet, It's still rather too cold up here.
